Background

Hassan Assaf is a Director at Resolution Economics LLC, an economics and statistics consulting firm with offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York, and Charlotte. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the American University of Beirut.

Mr. Assaf has considerable experience in employment related litigation support and consulting, including preparation of economic and statistical analyses related to single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and class action matters involving wage and hour disputes, and allegations of race, gender, and age discrimination in a variety of industries. His areas of expertise include processing and analyzing large and complex databases, conducting statistical analyses related to class certification, liability, and damages in a litigation setting, and providing a comprehensive analytical approach to monitoring compliance for companies looking to minimize the risk of employment litigation. Mr. Assaf has served in an expert capacity and has considerable experience in assisting counsel at mediation.

QUALIFIED VETERAN:

A “disabled veteran” is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or show citation box or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

“Other protected veterans” means veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. military during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge is awarded.
